Social Media Intern

Job Summary:

 

As a Social Media Intern at RunwayTo, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence and engagement across various social media platforms. You will work closely with the marketing team to create and implement social media strategies, manage our current Instagram and Twitter accounts, and set up and maintain new channels like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc. The position requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a passion for social media trends and emerging platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Social Media Management: Take ownership of RunwayTo's Instagram and Twitter accounts, ensuring regular updates with engaging content, including images, videos, and written posts.

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality, creative, and visually appealing content that aligns with the brand's tone and values. This may involve graphics, videos, stories, and other forms of media.

  • TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube: Research and understand the target audience on these platforms and create a content strategy that resonates with each audience. Regularly upload and manage content on these platforms to maximize engagement.

  • Community Engagement: Interact with our followers, respond to comments, messages, and mentions, and foster meaningful connections to build a loyal and active community.

  • Social Media Analytics: Monitor key social media metrics, analyze performance, and provide regular reports to the marketing team. Utilize data-driven insights to improve the effectiveness of our social media efforts.

  • Social Media Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and features to keep RunwayTo ahead of the curve and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

  • Campaigns and Contests: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and contests to drive user engagement and brand awareness.

  • Photography and Video Editing: Capture and edit photos and videos for use on social media, ensuring consistent branding and visual appeal.

  • Social Media Advertising: Support the marketing team in developing and implementing paid social media advertising campaigns, if applicable.

Requirements:

 

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field. Social media certifications or relevant courses are a plus.

  • Experience: Prior experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional), content creation, and social media marketing is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Creativity: Strong creative thinking and the ability to come up with fresh ideas for content and engagement strategies.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and basic knowledge of social media management tools.

  • Excellent Writing Skills: A flair for writing compelling and concise copy for social media posts and captions.

  • Graphic Design and Video Editing: Basic skills in graphic design using tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop and video editing using software like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines while juggling multiple tasks.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing social media trends and platform algorithms.

  • Passion for Fashion and Beauty: An interest in the fashion and beauty industry is advantageous, as it will help you better understand our audience and create relevant content.

Work Schedule:

 

  • Part-time and full-time options are available 

  • Working from the office

 

Duration:

 

  • We are seeking a candidate who can commit for a minimum period of 4 to 6 months.

 

Pay:  (Unpaid) – Experience and credits (if applicable).
